Protecting God's Children

St. Anselm takes the safety of our youth most seriously. Per diocesean guidelines, we have implemented several measures, including VIRTUS training and fingerprinting. This applies to anyone working with our Parish youth (youth group, sports, gardening, etc...)

APRIL IS CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH

Child Abuse Prevention Month is an annual observance in the United States dedicated to raising awareness and preventing child abuse. April has been designated Child Abuse Prevention Month in the United States since 1983. Every child deserves to grow up in a safe, stable, and nurturing environment that is free from abuse and neglect.

In New Jersey, any person having reasonable cause to believe that a child has been subjected to abuse or acts of abuse should immediately report this information to the State Central Registry (SCR). A concerned caller does not need proof to report an allegation of child abuse and can make the report anonymously.
